Other Name(s): Having never been fond of his middle name, Orrick introduces himself only by his given fore and surnames. If his sister, Eidao, decides that he merits a scolding over some matter or another, she'll belittle him as "Oscar", but otherwise the only other formal shorthand of his name would be "Rick".

Occupation: Spearman of the Zoran Guard, a title which Orrick's held with much pride since the age of 16. Three years in service doesn't give Orrick TOO much leeway with the commanding officers, but since he plans on staying the track of his career with the Guard, he's been doffed the slur of "greenfin": a common moniker that new, inexperienced zoras are labelled with upon their recruitment.

Appearance: Sharing a hatchday with his sister did not necessarily mean Orrick was Eidao's twin, but it's hard to second guess their immediate relation when looking upon the tall, 6'5" tentacled male zora. Long outgrown the innocence of tadpolehood, and with only a year to go before leaving behind his teens, Orrick is comfortably adjusting to life as an adult zora. As an added bonus, he fits the race's definition of such with an angular, toned physique and a boundless strength to match it.

His scales are a polished turquoise colour, accented by the pastel purple hue of healed scar tissue from minor wounds and skirmishes past. The scars mostly occupy Orrick's chest and upper biceps, which both meet a set military standard in their chiseled size, and fail to make him appear anything less then hunky in the eyes of young zoramaids throughout the domain. Square-faced and expressive, Orrick has rather slack, adolescent facial features that he has yet to grow out of. Unlike Eidao, with her hollow dark eyes and pensive stares, Orrick charms most his meets with slanted cerulean eyes and a maiden-swooning half smile.

Nature had way of keeping the handsome Zoran boy modest, yet it rarely does anything preventative to keep his fanclub of fluke-tailed females at bay. Intimidating as they are to some, Orrick has tentacles to replace the typical zora fluke, coiling and trailing from the back of his scaled head in thick, pale green ringlets. Save for a few extra inches in length, they are the distinctive trait which he shares only with Eidao.

Yet, the similarities between siblings end here, since Orrick opts to take the deformity in stride by styling the extensile fins like a Hylian would to their hair. Sometimes, he'll knot them into a hightail. Other times, he'll wear them behind headbands of twisted coral, or under a reed-woven beanie. This practice is a far cry from his self-deprecating sister, who, in his opinion, needs to not only lighten up emotionally, but dress up and stop looking so drab.

While on the subject of dress, it's noteworthy to mention that Orrick wears very little clothing, in the tradition of most Zora. Normally a hindrance to the aquatic creatures, Orrick equips himself with scaled armor only when mandated by the Guard. On a day-to-day basis however, his attire consists of a lightweight like-like leather belt and harness, with buckled suspenders usually worn undone against his thighs, rather then properly over his chest. Around his neck and over his gills, Orrick also wears a scarf, a prank gift from his peers, who often take jabs at his energetic nature. Despite the jokes, it suits him rather well, a tacky-looking piece of fabric dotted with small yellow triforces on a base color of obnoxious bright blue.

Charismatic, persuasive and brimming with overconfidence, Orrick is one who takes the hurdles in life with reckless abandon. Put simply, he personifies the teenage phase of invincibility. This means, not only is Orrick the polar opposite to his clinically depressed sister, but moreover opposed to acknowledging the difference between risky situations and outright danger. Such cockiness often lands Orrick in hot water with the Guard, since acting without thinking goes against all military codes of conduct. Luckily, his appetite for challenge helps Orrick sustain his career, not to mention his quick reflexes and overall profiency with Zoran polearms.

"Girls, girls!! Orrick is back from the temple, here he comes!"

A highpitched squeal, like in the example above, would bring a contemptuous curl to Eidao's lip. She loathes the way her brother has become a female object of desire, and confronts him about it on a regular basis. Orrick, however, only raises his sister's blood pressure by neglecting to take anything she says seriously. He literally bathes in the attention received from his adoring fanclub, but has yet to tie himself down, or even allow himself to consider the notion. He puts too high of a priority on his job, and the tempermental nature of Eidao (whom he is actually fiercly protective of), to want anything more then ego-inflation from a pretty girl.

Weapons: Having unlimited access to a variety of Zoran Guard weaponry, Orrick can always be seen mucking around with some kind of tribal blade, flimsy composite bow, or polearm. He posesses little to no competent skill or grace with the former two, but can't deny himself the chance to learn about, and leisurely practice with either or.

Formally, Orrick's chosen weapon is the one literally in the job title- a spear. Nothing overly fancy, with a polished shaft whittled from the thick, flexible limb of a River Willow, and a multi-barbed shard of local cavern coral serving as the point. Most often hooked through the harness across his back, along with 3 standard Guard issued throwing javelins, the spear is Orrick's forte. He relies heavily on defensive meneuvers while using it in combat, and has difficulty overcoming an opponent in close quarters- which is why he prefers a somewhat artistic method of hurl, duck, weave, advance and repeat. This mainly applies to the javelins, as the spear, although similar to a harpoon, is far too heavy to throw even with proper aim.

Equipment:
-A jackknife from Castle Town, used mostly for sharpening sticks when he isn't in immediate access of the javelin surplus in the Domain. Complete with brass holster.
-A small pocket of cloth, in which he keeps a personal stash of headbands and hylian hairclips.
-Canteen, shaped like a Lake Scallop. Worn around his neck, underneath the scarf, via a piece of braided twine from Eidao.
-A lightweight, hand-knitted hammock. Sorta like a bedroll, Orrick uses it like a satchel, where he stores his belongings and supplies and knots it around his waist. What? He doesn't like sleeping on the ground!
